Membership

Membership to KIAA is relatively inexpensive.  All Membership Applications received will be reviewed by the Membership Committee then passed along to the full Board of Directors to approval.  Membership to KIAA is mandatory for all businesses seeking or maintaining KIAA Health Benefits for their company.

Membership Types

There are two types of Membership.  Certain eligibility requirements must be met.  See which Membership best fits your company.

KIAA Member

Requirements:

  • Must be a bona-fide Business

  • Must be within KIAA Boundaries

Benefit Plan Participation Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 employees

Full voting rights for KIAA Members

KIAA Associate Member

Requirements:

  • Must be a bona-fide Business

  • Must be on the Big Island of Hawaii

Benefit Plan Participation Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 employees

No voting rights for KIAA Associate Members

Membership Dues

To simplify billing, membership dues are assessed at the beginning of our fiscal year, July 1st.  Should you gain membership at another time in the year, your membership dues are prorated.  See proration table below.
